My name is Robbie George. I am an independent, National Geographic-published wildlife and nature photographer, field observer, writer, former organic farmer, and creator of Naturepedia™.

A Field-Rooted Project
EarthDayQuotes.com grew from years spent observing nature through a camera and working directly with soil, food, weather, and season. My wife and I spent roughly a decade building and operating a four-season organic farm. That experience changed the way I understand Earth Day: not as a single annual campaign, but as a daily relationship with land, water, wildlife, growers, makers, and the communities that care for them.
This site brings those experiences together through original quotations, attributed historical voices, photography, and practical reflections on stewardship. Its purpose is simple: to help readers pause, reconnect, and carry that attention into the places where they live.
Quotes as Seeds
Many of my original quotations began with a real field encounter: first light over alpine snow, a red-winged blackbird calling from the edge of a pond, a storm moving across open water, or soil held in the hand at planting time. The words are brief, but the observations behind them are not. They are records of attention shaped by time outdoors.
